Celine, still heartbroken from her break-up with Gens, gets drunk and ends up sleeping at Brenda's house. Hung-over the next morning, she finds Neri cleaning the bathroom and yells at her. Brenda arrives and blames Neri, who is surprised to learn that Gens and Celine broke up because of her. Neri confronts Gens thinking he was just using her as an excuse. She is confused when Gens admits to having feelings for her. When the Smith household loses power, Sonia reveals that they didn't have money to pay their power bill. The rest of the day was devoted to pawning jewelry and selling the car. Hillary tries her best to ignore Bill, but they end up getting trapped together in an elevator. Gens encounters problems all day, and becomes certain that he does love Neri. Nelle realizes that she's not a tomboy after all, because she likes Josh.
