Oregano Oil |
Wednesday, August 11, 2010 |
Our family fell prey to one nasty virus last week. We have all been barking like dogs in our household, which came in between episodes of fever, colds and nausea. Not a pretty picture at all. Having sick kids is one thing that I would not wish on even my worst enemy. I know my fellow moms would agree that we would do anything to ease our children's pain and illness. If it would require us to get sick in their place, we would. We all hope and pray that our kids be kept safe and healthy at all times.
After our recent bout with the flu, the husband and I vowed that we will take better care our ourselves and our kids. We need to stay healthy to take proper care of our kids. Aside from healthy food, daily vitamins and a reliable health insurance provider we are exploring the possibility of investing in fitness regimens that will benefit our entire family. This will involve a major overhaul of our diet and lifestyle to include vitamins and different supplements. There are many different supplements out there these days and it takes a bit of research to learn about each one. I was reading on a home remedies website about the benefits of oregano oil. It has been shown to assist skin infections, boost the immune system, aid digestive problems, increase joint and muscle flexibility and help respiratory health. It is important that the oregano oil have at least 70% Carvacrol, which is the active ingredient in oregano oil. There is a website Bio-alternatives.net that sells high quality oregano oil that has a minimum 85% of Carvacrol. The website also discusses the many benefits of this oil, and along with those above says university studies have shown it be be good for colds, flu, acne, allergies, asthma, sinusitis, and earaches. So it looks like oregano oil may be one of the supplements we keep in our cupboard for the next time we feel a cold or flu coming on and to keep that nasty virus from visiting us ever again.Labels: Blogging, Health |
