|There is just something about coffee that gives the feeling of warmth and comfort. If you smell the fresh aroma from a coffee brewer inside the home, you get the feeling that there is a good homemaker in there who can make a fresh cup always. That home would then seem inviting and welcoming-like there is always a freshly baked apple pie on top of the table.
The scent of coffee also gives off the feeling of encouragement. If you are down and would like to share your troubles to a friend, you would likely go to his or her house in order to have a heart to heart chat. If you will inform him of your visit, chances are, he would have a cup of coffee ready for you. And while you sit on the couch with your shoulders hunched as you wait for your friend to bring a fresh cup from the coffee brewer or coffee brewers, somehow the aroma of coffee gets to you first. Without your knowing it, the scent has already hugged you and comforted you a bit even before your friend sat down to talk with you. Then your spirits are lifted.
There is just so much that the scent of coffee can do to a person's physical and psychological state. It is like coffee has powerful aroma therapeutic effects because whatever state the person is in, the scent of coffee just makes one feel good. There is no wonder why people stay for long periods of time in coffee shops, reading the papers, eating cake or a cookie, playing online games on their laptops or chatting with a friend. Staying inside the coffee shop just makes you feel good that if you have nothing important to do outside, it would be nice to just sit comfortably there and enjoy the aroma of coffee all over the room.
