For as long as I can remember I have always sat down to watch late night television with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Something about the sandwich has always made it the perfect complement to any television show that can be found late at night. The other important part of the meal is what it is eaten with. Many times it is just a sandwich and chips. The salt from the chips makes for a nice compliment to the sandwich. Other nights, it can involve more work. Potato salad, macaroni and cheese, or a cup of soup are all perfect to enjoy with a peanut butter and jelly. The other important part of the evening is finding the right show to watch on TV. Cartoon Network has this covered most nights with Adult Swim. Watching Family Guy, King of the Hill, Robot Chicken, and other shows has become part of my going to bed routine. Other nights, it is fun to flip through the movie channels and see what is on. Whether it is a movie that I have watched hundreds of times, or a B-rated horror movie, there is always some movie on that can break the streak of cartoons I watch each night. Thanks to my cable tv deal I can watch my cartoons and other movies while relaxing with one of my favorite midnight snacks.
