Whenever I watch "The Office" on satellite TV that I found through http://www.directstartv.com/, I also watch "30 Rock". This show took me a while to get into, but now I find it's pretty addictive. I love watching the exploits of Liz Lemon, the clever but frazzled television writer played by Tina Fey of "Saturday Night Live". Who knew that putting together a TV show was such a crazy experience? "30 Rock" is populated with a variety of colorful characters, including Tracy Morgan, who plays Tracy Jordan, an extremely eccentric man with an overly inflated sense of his own importance. One never can tell what this guy will say next, so shooting a show with him as the star is always an adventure. Good thing he has his entourage to help keep him in line, along with Kenneth, an innocent young intern whose enthusiasm for his job knows no bounds. Alec Baldwin plays Jack, the pompous executive who suddenly finds himself in charge of Liz's show and unexpectedly becomes very dependent upon her, even as he ridicules her for her loveless lifestyle. I can't imagine the show throwing these two together as a romantic couple, but they make a great comedic duo, and their interaction is at the heart of the show. I was sad when Fey left SNL, but I'm glad to see that she's found an even better gig. Guest written by our friend Jan Petersen Labels: Blogging, Electronics, Entertainment |
