Typhoon Sendong or Washi hit several regions in Mindanao on December 17. According to the news, death toll from Philippine storm Sendong rises to 652. Hundreds are still missing as rescue workers look for bodies in the Philippine Sea off Mindanao Island. Officials say contributing factors on the death toll include things like lack of a flood warning and darkness.
