I saw a cooking show while watching one of my satellite television stations from www.tvbydirect.com and the lady was making some baked beans from scratch. When they were done, they looked really good. So I wanted to see if I could make them look just as good. This recipe that I used was one for a crock pot. Since I started with dried beans, it took me a couple of days to make these. Overall, it was pretty easy but it had to cook for a long time so that the beans cooked up and were not hard. I made these for my family for dinner. The aroma filled the house. They smelled so good that my husband was eating all day because it made him hungry. These turned out really good. I really liked them and so did my family. They are much better than the ones out of a can. I will definitely make them again. I may even try adding different ingredients also. If you have never had baked beans made from scratch, you should try them. You don't know what you are missing until you try them.
