Perhaps the most famous representation of Austria was made in the critically-acclaimed, world-renowned movie musical, The Sound of Music. Although the setting was during the pre-war and post-war Austria, people have always thought of Austria as a wonderful place, thanks to the songs in the movie and wonderful performances of Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer and of course, the adorable Von Trapp kids. They featured the cityscapes and also the countryside in this wonderful, heartwarming movie.
Meanwhile, the capital of Austria, which is Vienna came to be known worldwide because of their floating lifestyle and gondola rides. Whenever you get to see a scene with a guy paddling a boat with lovers sitting on it, you would surely associate this setting to romantic Vienna. Even Las Vegas and Macau have recreated these scenes in a couple of their casinos. It one of the most famous casino settings in these places!
Not to be left behind are the vienna restaurants that surely offer the best-tasting meals. Although the rest of the mortal world might not understand this passion, there is something about a comic book that is beyond words. At the moment, some of the hottest selling items are Spiderman comic books, both new and old. In fact, Spiderman comes in at number one on the best seller list. In fact, that is even ahead of the Classics Illustrated comic books! Although best sellers seem to trend in and out, Spiderman is in for the long haul.
